From My Popular 4-Heads Collection

Raptors

I was at The Keg last night with Crazy Paul and Irish Mark. We had Keg gift certificates to cash in. I was worried because the Raptors had a 7PM game against Atlanta at the same time that the Leafs were playing Carolina.

In Toronto, and many parts of Canada, a Leaf game trumps all other sports events. This season the Leafs are horrific and headed for last place while the Raptors are having their best season and headed for over 50 wins. The Atlanta match up featured the Eastern Conference best two teams.

Of the 6 tv's at The Keg 5 featured the Raptor game. The tv right in front of us had the Leaf game on. I asked the waitress to switch to the Raptor game. The people around us cheered. For the first time in my memory every tv had the Raptor game on when the Leafs were playing at then same time. A turning point for this town.

I recall a few years go the Raptors were in the playoffs and had a game on tv. The Leafs as per usual had missed the playoffs. A group of us went to the Duke of Devon to watch the game. A Sabres playoff game was on the only big screen. The mental midgets that sat in front of the big screen refused to change the channel "this is Canada and we watch hockey". I think the tide has turned.

I'm curious as to what game was featured at the MLSE owned sports bar Real Sports? I'm betting it was the Raptors.

All About Eve

Do Not Eat at Foggy Dew Restaurant Toronto

Uncooked back bacon, cold baked beans, unrecognisable black pudding and bad service. That would sum up The Foggy Dew restaurant breakfast.

In 2002 when they built an Irish pub across the street from where I live I was as excited as anyone. It has been a constant sore point for me since with bad food, indifferent service. I rarely go there and steer people away. You can do a lot better on King Street West.

Kathleen Wynne Please Step Aside

E-health, gas plants, ORNGE, Sudbury election bribes, Dalton McGuilty, enough.........
it is time for Kathleen Wynne to resign. The fact that Dalton McGuinty is not facing the possibility of time in a an Ontario jail is in itself a serious violation of our democratic rights and freedoms. A government can only face so many scandals before they lose the right to govern in a democracy.
The Ontario Liberal Party has violated every ounce of decency and moral authority, it is time to turn in the keys of government and walk away.

Justin Trudeau is Unfit to be Prime Minister

I believe that Stephen Harper is the worst Prime Minister that I have ever witnessed in my lifetime. His cabinet is the weakest in Canadian history.

After several years of observation I have come to the conclusion that Justin Trudeau is not fit for the office of Prime Minister of Canada. He lacks the judgement and intellect that the office requires.

Progressive voters in Canada will have to make a choice when we vote in October 2015. We have to seriously consider whether we vote for Thomas Mulcair. As an income earner and investor I am hesitant to vote NDP, but we need a minority government. We need the Liberal Party to choose a new leader with the intellect and judgement to be the Prime Minister of Canada. In the interim we will need a minority government. I urge you to vote for the NDP.

Eve Adams

I don't understand what Justin Trudeau was thinking when he brought the horrific Eve Adams into the Liberal party. I honestly believe that this move brings into question his fitness to be the Prime Minister of Canada.

I am a life long Liberal supporter. I am seriously considering whether I should shift my support to the NDP. I cannot understand what Trudeau was thinking. Why would he think bringing Adams into the Liberal party was a good move?

As Canadians we have to seriously consider whether Justin Trudeau has the gravitas, judgement and intellect to be the leader of Canada. I'm honestly concerned whether he is the right person for the job.

I have written to my Liberal MP Adam Vaughan about my concerns about Justin's fitness to be the Prime Minister of Canada.

I believe that Stephen Harper is unfit to be the leader of Canada, but I'm not sure that Justin Trudeau is the right man to replace him. We have to take a serious look at Mulcair.

Juicer

Juicer

I bought a juicer last week. Within one week I have become something a juicing prodigy. I seem to have a knack for it. Right now I'm using my juicer as a meal replacement for my evening meal.

Two weeks after allowing myself to consume alcohol again, I continue to lose weight but at a reduced rate. I'm within 8-pounds of my best weight over the past 10-years. I should get close to that weight around St. Patrick's Day.

I have had a slight reduction in exercise due to extreme cold weather and snow, the key is to continue to eat a healthy diet. I believe my new juicing habit is only going to help. Staying away from processed foods, pizza, burgers, fries and snack food will continue.
