I think my new skin drug is starting to kick in. My skin has a strange glow like a rotting pumpkin. The red marks are fading a bit. It is creating a buzz in the office. I went to my dentist today and after he took $400 worth of x-rays offered me a free consult on invisible adult braces to straighten my ragged teeth. Can you imagine if I have glowing skin and perfect teeth? It would be like I found the fountain of youth.
I must say that I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to dental services. I go to the dentist for a cleaning and end up buying the extended warranty and all the extras. The staff can see me coming from a mile away. They did a 360 degree x-ray today. It was like a 3D view. I know M thinks I'm an idiot for letting the dental staff remove perfectly good fillings that have lasted for 45 years.
With shiny new skin, perfect teeth I may go all in with a fancy haircut. Bereza pays $5 for haircut and they throw in a bowl of soup. In my opinion he overpaid. I may get one of the $25 Super Cuts specials with a little added gel. I do notice extra traffic around my cube at work. I thought they detected a foul odour but in fact they may be checking out the "new" guy in the old guy's cube.

Needle Time
I had a nurse attend my office to supervise my first injection of Stelara today. The shot was painless and easy. That is not to say I wasn't nervous. There was muffled yet audible whimper that the nurse described as child-like. "I didn't know a grown man could make a sound like that?" "You were very brave" was a direct quote but delivered with a hint of sarcasm. In 30-days I will be required to self inject another dose.
The nurse did tell me that I should see positive results within 2-weeks. She has seen great success with this medication. This could be the summer of D'Arcy should this medication work.

Harper Talks Big Game on Military Spending
I read on the weekend that Stephen Harper has actually decreased military spending when you factor in inflation. Typical of right-wingers that talk a big game and come up empty. The Toronto Sun's latest tactic to embarrass Ontario Premier Wynne is to haul out disabled people that have been denied expensive medical treatment by OHIP. Their latest is a little girl that requires extremely expensive drugs to stay alive. The irony of course is the Sun believes that Ontario taxes are far too high, but they want the government to fund everyone's treatment. In fact all they want to do is embarrass the Liberal's.
I wrote earlier how much Ajax-Pickering MP Chris Alexander has sold out any credibility he may have had to become a highly partisan Harper bootlicker. This man that showed so much promise has become nothing more than a hired thug in the Harper smear campaign. Alexander has no future in Conservative leadership.
Funny to watch Harper's Queen B, Johnny Baird, rule out military force as an option to punish Putin, as if that was ever gong to happen. Other than carrying Israel's pantsuit Baird and Harper have no credibility in diplomatic circles. Maybe they can send their attack poodle Alexander to blame Trudeau for the crisis in Kiev.

Expanding the Boat
I'm getting a quote today on expanding the swim platform on The Boat. If I don't like the renderings I will order an insert from the US. I am also having several minor issues ironed out in the two months prior to boating season. Two months from today, if the Lake Ontario ice melts, we will be launching the boat in year 2.
On Tuesday of next week I will take my first injections of Stelera which should control my skin condition and allow me to swim with impunity in the summer. I'm, very excited about this drug regime. My previous dermatologist was against using drugs to control the condition, which is why she is my ex-dermatologist.
