My idea of purchasing and wearing a cape has divided people into two distinct camps, those that think it is the worst idea ever and in the other camp there is me.
We had the biggest Poker Event ever last night with 30 people. There were 24 players and Neal took home first place, but due to another controversial financial arrangement, Mariana financed his participation and took home half the money. She is the all-time leading money winner at Poker events. As the co-founder and promoter of the event it is only appropriate.
Jimmy gave me the thumbs up on my idea of former Premier McGuinty serving a modest prison term as the mastermind of the gas plant fiasco. This was not mismanagement of funds, but outright theft of taxpayer money to buy votes. The cost to reward ratio was so out of proportion to be classified as one the most cynical, outrageous acts of vote buying in democratic history. An act so vile and costly as to subject the perpetrator to criminal prosecution. In my opinion McGuinty dishonoured his province, his family and should be held accountable in a court of law. Any chance he had of a favourable legacy was wiped out in a single act of voter subterfuge.
Current Premier Kathleen Wynne had the audacity to accuse the Tory's of leading the taxpayers into an expensive election. It would apparently cost the taxpayers $65M to hold an election. This after she was a senior member of the McGuinty cabinet that made the decision to cancel the gas plant contract at a cost in excess of $250M and counting. The construction continued unabated after the cancellation and during the election for contractual reasons. Cement was poured on a project where the government and contractors knew would be torn up in due course.
Ms. Wynne you will wear the stench of the gas plant fiasco on your record for eternity. You should be ashamed, embarrassed and apologetic. The fact that you object to an election because of the costs to the people of Ontario is beyond outrageous.
